Debuting August 27, 2015, Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston marks The Kessler Collection’s first property in South Carolina. Original and unique artwork is featured throughout the hotel and in each guestroom. Richard C. Kessler, an avid supporter of the arts, personally identified the Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston’s featured artist, Victor Wang. Inspired by his adventurous, exciting, and dream-like path through life, Victor Wang uses the human face as a vehicle to paint human experiences. Look for his paintings, with a sculptural quality throughout the hotel and guestrooms.

Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston will be home to a 1,100 square foot Grand Bohemian Hotel Gallery, showcasing stunning works of art, exhibitions and artist receptions by local, regional, and internationally recognized artists, designed to inspire the collector in all of us.

Pioneered by Kessler, the Grand Bohemian Hotel Gallery is located within most of the collection’s hotels. These visually stimulating art galleries have something for everyone from paintings and sculptures to art glass and jewelry. Rare and original pieces of art are displayed in the awe-inspiring galleries, as well as throughout the hotels, ranging from oil paintings, glass, wood, contemporary jewelry, bronze sculptures and unique gifts.

BOHEMIAN WINE BLENDING

Taste, learn, create, and blend a custom wine in an intimate class led by our sommeliers. Almost every wine is a blend: a blend of grapes, vineyards, special oak aging techniques, and more. This mysterious blending process is part of what makes wine so complex, interesting, and delicious.

This educational experience includes an introduction and history of winemaking, blending session, customized label creation and a bottle of your personal blend. At the Grand Bohemian Hotel Charleston, you get to be the winemaker and experience the most exciting, romantic and creative aspects of the winemaking process: BLENDING.

BOHEMIAN WINE TASTING 

The Bohemian Wine Tasting Room offers wine lovers the opportunity to explore  the world of wine using an elite dispensing technology. Ranging from great  everyday wines, esoteric finds, to cult-classic cabernet, there is a wine to please any palate. Thirty-two wines will be available to try and enjoy. You can have just a taste, enjoy a half or full glass, and you can purchase your favorite selections to enjoy at home.
